Even on a rainy weekend it
was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. We loved
watching the lightning flash through the
skylight and the sound of the rain. It is very
hard to leave here and go back to the stress of
our everyday lives. Thanks so much for the
restful haven! - - - Rick and Beth (River
Falls, WI)
Great hotel; stunning countryside; beautiful
sunrises through the mist; floating down a
meandering river with a lover and friends; good
food at a nice place; lots of sunshine; and it's
my birthday! What else is there? I asked Rita to
marry me and she said YES!! - - - Peter
What a wonderful, wonderful Inn you own. We have
never been in this corner of MN - have lived in
the Twin Cities for 35 years and we are in awe of
the beauty. Have usually gone up north. Thank you
for your gracious hospitality. - - - Lynn and
Gordy (Minneapolis, MN)
The sky was cloudy, the wind brisk, and there
were snow flurries all day. You had to be nuts to
go biking! Nevertheless, we had a great time. A
little champagne, your kind hospitality, and old
friends made our stay memorable to the extent
that I'm positive we'll be back. You've done a
great job on the old Hotel! - - - Larry and
Joyce (Des Moines, IA)
This charming Hotel has been so relaxing. It
actually has been the first get-away in 10 months
since our twins were born. I don't think I've
ever been so relaxed as this weekend. Thank you
for being gracious hosts, and providing a lovely
place for us to spend the night. - - - Joel

We started the day with a
long motorcycle ride from Minneapolis to Red Wing
and followed the river to Winona - then into the
bluffs, a side trip to Lanesboro and back to
Peterson. What a wonderful retreat! No phones, no
doorbells, or FREEWAY NOISE! Had a relaxing
jacuzzi then sipped champagne, curled up in the
fireside chairs for a chat - things you don't get
to do at home. Thanks! - - - Bruce and Ellen

I was a little uncomfortable with the B&B
idea as my past experience wasn't the best ...
but my experience in your B&B has changed my
mind. From the moment you opened the door . ..
left me in awe! The passion you have for this is
apparent and the rooms are outstanding. Peterson
is lucky to have two people totally committed.
Much luck to you, I'll tell many ... I'll be
back. - - - Sharon (Napierville, IL)
Of all the places I have ever stayed (which are
many), this is the most charming and lovely! I
enjoyed and appreciated your wonderful antiques
and the way you so beautifully used them to add
to the charm of your rooms. I hope to be back
again sometime. - - - Alma (Redlands, CA)
You have done a
commendable job of renovating the old hotel,
which I knew as the Wilson Hotel 60 years ago.
You have upgraded the whole community. We wish
you the success your efforts deserve. - - - Rowland
